Cyprus

Why Cyprus for Your Golf & Spa Holiday

Cyprus sits at the eastern edge of the Mediterranean with over 300 days of sunshine a year, a small collection of genuinely excellent courses and resorts that have invested seriously in their spa and wellness facilities. It's quieter than Spain or Portugal, the courses are less crowded, and the combination of dramatic Troodos Mountain scenery, warm sea and traditional village culture gives it a character all of its own.

The spa offering in Cyprus leans into the island's natural landscape — treatments using local olive oil, sea minerals and Mediterranean botanicals are a feature of both our properties. Aphrodite Hills brings a large, well-equipped spa alongside one of the island's premier courses. Minthis takes a more intimate approach — a boutique resort with a redesigned course running through groves of centuries-old olive trees and a spa that matches the quiet, restorative tone of the surroundings.

Our Cyprus Resorts

Aphrodite Hills Resort — Perched on a clifftop above the Paphos coast, Aphrodite Hills is Cyprus's leading golf and spa resort. The Cabell B. Robinson-designed course plays across dramatic ravines with the Mediterranean visible from most holes. The resort spa is a large, fully-equipped facility with an extensive treatment menu, thermal pools and a range of therapies suited to both post-round recovery and pure relaxation. The resort village — with its restaurants, bars and pools — makes it a complete destination for a week's stay.

Minthis — A more intimate alternative set in the Troodos foothills among some of the oldest olive trees on the island. The course at Minthis has been transformed in recent years and now offers a thoughtful, scenic layout that rewards accurate play over length. The spa is smaller and more personal than Aphrodite Hills, with treatments that reflect the resort's slower, more restorative character. For guests who want to properly slow down — and do it in beautiful surroundings — Minthis is the right choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time for a golf and spa holiday in Cyprus?
March to May and September to November are the ideal months — warm and sunny with comfortable temperatures for golf. Summer (June to August) is very hot, often exceeding 35°C, so early morning rounds are recommended. Winter is mild by UK standards and the courses remain playable year-round, making Cyprus a viable option even in January and February.
How long is the flight from the UK to Cyprus?
Approximately 4 to 4.5 hours from London, Manchester and most major UK airports. Direct flights operate year-round to Paphos Airport, which is the closest airport to Aphrodite Hills and Minthis — both within 20 to 30 minutes of the terminal.
What are the golf courses like in Cyprus?
Cyprus has a small but high-quality selection of courses. Aphrodite Hills Golf Club is the standout — an 18-hole championship course designed by Cabell B. Robinson with dramatic elevation changes and views across the Mediterranean. Minthis is one of the oldest golf clubs in Cyprus, recently transformed into a contemporary resort with a redesigned course set among ancient olive trees.
What spa experiences does Cyprus offer?
Both of our Cypriot resorts have full-service spas with treatment menus that draw on the island's natural ingredients — local olive oil, sea salt and Mediterranean botanicals feature prominently. Aphrodite Hills' spa is a large, well-equipped facility within the resort; Minthis offers a more intimate spa experience in keeping with the resort's boutique character.
Can non-golfers enjoy a Cyprus golf and spa holiday?
Very much so. Both resorts have pools, spa facilities, restaurants and easy access to the surrounding area. The villages of the Troodos foothills, the beaches of the Akamas peninsula and the archaeological sites around Paphos make for excellent days out. Cyprus is a destination that works equally well for golfers and non-golfers travelling together.
