About the Resort

Palácio Estoril is a five-star palace hotel built in 1930 on the Cascais coast, moments from Lisbon, that has hosted European royalty and heads of state for nearly a century. Golf centres on the Estoril Golf Course, an 18-hole, par 69 layout designed by Mackenzie Ross that has hosted the Portuguese Open and Portuguese International Amateur Championship for more than twenty years. The on-site Banyan Tree Spa Estoril draws on centuries-old Asian traditions, with therapists trained at Banyan Tree's own academies in Indonesia, Thailand and China, alongside an indoor dynamic pool and outdoor pool set in the palace gardens. Its WWII-era reputation as a haunt for British and German spies inspired the James Bond film 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service', and today the hotel's Royal Gallery and five distinct restaurants and bars carry that storied history forward.
